Actor Yamada Takayuki appeared at the stage greeting to celebrate the completion of the film "Shoutai" (directed by Fujii Michihito, to be released on November 29th) held at Marunouchi Piccadilly (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) on November 5th. Yamada plays Matanuki, a detective who pursues Kaburagi, a "five-faced fugitive" played by Yokohama Ryusei, and about the filming, which took place in two parts, summer 2023 and winter 2024, Yamada revealed his difficulties, saying, "I was under a lot of stress in the summer, so I might not have as much hair in the winter. (During the summer filming) I was sure I would go bald from the stress. So I think I'm a little bald in the winter version."
Yokohama, Yoshioka Riho, Morimoto Shintaro, Yamada Anna, and director Fujii appeared on stage to greet the audience.
The film is based on the novel of the same name (Kobunsha) by Somei Tamehito, which won the Excellence Award at the 37th Yokomizo Seishi Mystery Awards. Kaburagi, who was arrested as a suspect in a murder case that shocked the whole of Japan and sentenced to death, escapes during transport. Detective Matanuki interrogates Sayaka (Yoshioka), Kazuya (Morimoto), and Mai (Yamada) who meet Kaburagi, who continues to flee, all over Japan, but the Kaburagi they each meet looks like a completely different person... This brings us closer to the true purpose of Kaburagi, who is traveling across Japan with his face changing.
