It has been announced that the Japanese dubbed version of the popular anime "Bankrupt Millionaire: The Richest Man in Game," which began streaming on the Chinese video site "bilibili" in February 2024 and has racked up over 100 million views, will be broadcast on Fuji TV's late-night anime slot "B8station" every Wednesday at 1:15 a.m. starting in October. This will be the first time this popular Chinese anime has landed in Japan. It has also been announced that voice actors will include Kensho Ono as Pei Chen, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Ma Yan, and Jun Fukuyama as Richest.
The story is a slapstick comedy about Pei Chen, a mediocre office worker living the life of a corporate slave, who one day travels back in time to his college days, where a mysterious character calling himself Richest offers him a chance to become rich if he fulfills certain conditions. Richest's condition is that Pei Chen should start a business with the funds he provides, and the more the business loses money, the more Chen's personal assets will increase. Chen enters the gaming industry, which carries great business risks, and tries to make a crazy game and make a loss, but contrary to his expectations, the game business begins to take an unexpected turn.
Ono, who plays Pei Chen, commented, "It's a comical and refreshing success story that unfolds in the innovative setting where the more you lose in business, the more you can make money! I hope you enjoy it!"
Okamoto, who plays Ma Yan, a classmate of Pei Cheng who works hard to make Cheng's business a success, said, "The setting of this work is something I've never seen before, and I think it falls into the human drama or Warriors genre, but it's a very enjoyable work to watch! The pace is good, so please do check it out!"
Fukuyama, who plays the mysterious character Riches, who calls himself the "Wealth Conversion System," commented, "He will be a character on the mysterious system side, but while he supports the protagonist, regardless of whether this is desired or not, I am looking forward to seeing how his support in increasing assets will be intertwined with the story!"
A teaser visual and teaser PV featuring Pei Chen have been released.
