The seventh episode of the TV drama series "The Kidnapping Day" (TV Asahi, Tuesdays at 9pm), starring actor Saito Takumi, was broadcast on August 19th, and it was revealed that the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 5.5% for households and 2.9% for individuals.
This human mystery is based on the popular Korean drama of the same name (2023). It depicts the story of a kind-hearted but bumbling kidnapper, Shinjo Masamune, played by Saito, and a genius girl with amnesia, Nanase Rin, played by child actress Yuno Nagao, who are being pursued by unidentified men.
In episode 7, Shinjo and Rin successfully carry out their escape plan. They capture Kevin Fukuzumi (Kosuke Suzuki) and have Detective Tsukasa Sunouchi (Yosuke Eguchi) catch Samezu (Nobuaki Eiji). They then head to the hospital to witness Shinjo's daughter Mei's (Riho Kusaka) surgery. Once the surgery is over, Shinjo is determined to turn himself in and put an end to everything, but he finds himself in a difficult position once again.
Furthermore, lawyer Yamazaki Tadashi (Tatsuya Fukazawa) is in dire straits. When all the mysteries are solved, the true mastermind is revealed... and so the story unfolds.
