The BHC PDII MUSEUM will open on September 2nd inside the new Bandai Hobby Center factory (Shizuoka City), a plastic model production facility of BANDAI SPIRITS. Prior to the museum's opening, a preview of the new factory and museum was held for members of the press. 4,000 Gunpla models on display on the museum's walls were unveiled.
The company's unique multi-color molding machine is capable of producing approximately 4,000 runners (frames for plastic models) per day, and in reference to this, 4,000 RX-78-2 Gundam Gunpla will be on display.
The museum offers a variety of exhibits other than Gunpla. Visitors can learn about manufacturing by learning about the know-how and commitment the company has cultivated over more than 50 years of plastic model manufacturing, as well as the latest technology that supports product quality. In the laboratory area, visitors can become plastic model designers and design the shape, color, and packaging of plastic models.
