Director Ogawa Koji, who is working on the theatrical version of the 22nd installment of the popular anime "PreCure" series, "You and Idol Pretty Cure," titled "You and Idol Pretty Cure The Movie: Sorry to Keep You Waiting! A Sparkling Live Show for You!", revealed a scene that he was particularly fond of.
Director Ogawa directed the film "Pretty Cure All Stars New Stage 3: Eternal Friends" and served as series director for the TV series "Soaring Sky! Pretty Cure." One scene he focused on in "You and Idol Pretty Cure" is when Uta is so captivated by the beauty of Ai Ai Island's starry sky that she starts singing along. He commented, "We recorded a song by Misato Matsuoka(who plays Cure Idol/Sakura Uta) first, and it turned out to be a powerful song that is very much like Uta, so I created a visual that would not be outdone by it." It is said to be a spectacular scene that even Terra, a girl who hates idols in the film, is captivated by the sight.
Other highlights include the theme song "♪HiBiKi Au Uta♪" and many other songs, as well as live performance scenes on a scale unique to a theatrical release. Director Ogawa commented, "When creating TV opening videos, I'm always conscious of the synchronization between the music and the images, and I worked hard on that again this time!"
In the movie, Uta and her friends take part in the Super Miracle Idol Festival, which is held on a mysterious island. Suddenly, a mysterious monster appears, putting them in a major pinch and sending them back in time. The appearance of Pretty Cure from "Wonderful PreCure!(Wanpuri)" and "Soaring Sky! Pretty Cure(Hiropuri)" has also been a hot topic. Released on September 12th.
The motif of "You and Idol Pretty Cure" is "idols," and the theme is "Because of you, we can shine and become stronger!". The legendary saviors, Idol Precure, sing, dance, and give "fan service" for "you," whether it's the people they love, the people they care about, the people who support them, the people next to them, or the people in front of them, and your presence makes Idol Precure shine brighter and stronger. The show airs every Sunday at 8:30 AM on ABC TV and TV Asahi.
