The 39th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Bakebake " (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and others), starring Akari Takaishi , was broadcast on November 20th, and viewers were relieved to see Tae ( Keiko Kitagawa) smile again for the first time in a long while.
In episode 39, Toki (Takaishi) is still inexperienced as a maid, but she gradually begins to win the respect of Heaven (Tommy Bastow) with her consideration and the flower arranging skills she learned as a daughter of a samurai family. Toki visits Tae to ask to resume her flower arranging and tea lessons.
When Toki started giving money to Sannojo(Rihito Itagaki), Tae was able to stop begging and live in a tenement house. Tae explained about Sannojo, "A lot has happened, but now he's become the company president, and for now he's renting this place to live." It seems Tae completely believes the lie that Sannojo has become the company president.
When Toki asked, "Could I ask you to teach me flower arranging and the tea ceremony again?", Tae asked why. Toki explained, "As a woman of Matsue, and as the daughter of a samurai, I must once again properly acquire the manners that will not shame me," to which Tae replied happily, "You've grown up, haven't you? Well, please come visit me anytime."
The two try to eat the pineapple Toki brought with him, but don't know how to cut it. When Tae asks, "How about filleting it?" Toki kindly explains, "Ah, filleting it... is fish." After much trial and error, the two finally taste the pineapple they cut up, and smile, exclaiming, "Mmm!" and "Delicious!" Toki, who had spent a long time enjoying himself with Tae, skipped away, something he's not good at, before heading home.
