Actor Kokoro Terada appeared on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which aired on March 3rd. Terada, now 17, talked about the effects of his current enthusiasm for muscle training, his co-star Ken Watanabe , with whom he appeared again in last year's NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND ," his favorite sayings, and more.
He continued doing muscle training without using equipment like push-ups for about a year, and has been going to the gym for about eight or nine months now. "Since I started going to the gym and using proper equipment (for muscle training), I've gained nearly 10kg in weight and my muscles have really grown," he said happily. He can bench press about 115kg. Touching the muscles in his arms and chest, Kuroyanagi repeatedly exclaimed, "Amazing!" and described the feel of them as "incredible, everyone! They're rock-hard, rock-hard."
When he demonstrated a technique called "planche," in which he supports his body with only his arms and floats in the air, applause broke out from the crowd. His current goal is to compete in the "High School Physique" competition. It is a competition that requires a beautiful physique, and he expressed his enthusiasm by saying, "I'm thinking about competing now." He revealed that he would like to continue to reduce his body fat percentage, and ultimately aim to "bring it down to around 5 or 6%."
Last year, he appeared in the historical drama " UNBOUND," working with Ken Watanabe again. He hugged him and said, "You've grown so much," and encouraged him to "do your best." He first met Watanabe when he was 10 years old. "Even back then, he was such a gentleman, kind to everyone, and attentive to the staff. I thought he was a really wonderful actor." At the time, he told him, "I see him as an actor," and he recalls, "I was so happy." He said he learned a lot from Watanabe this time as well, receiving a lot of advice. He taught him many things, such as the state of mind of Matsudaira Sadanobu, the character he played, and taking into account the background of the characters' pasts.

"The only difference is the amount of effort you put into it (your dream), the amount of effort you have to put in, but there is absolutely nothing you can't achieve (your dream), so I think there is nothing that is impossible. The only difference is how difficult it is to aim for it (your dream)."
He also likes the words of his principal, "Time is limited, effort is infinite, regret is eternal." "Whether I do it or not is up to me. If I don't do it now, the regret will follow me for the rest of my life, so I have to make the infinite effort I can now so that I don't regret it forever." He has renewed his determination to continue his acting career, saying, "I believe that if I continue (from now on), good things will surely happen, so I think I'll keep working hard."
