It was announced on June 24th that singer MISIA will be taking on the role of MC for NHK's intellectual exploration entertainment program "Tamori & Shinya Yamanaka's!? (Surprise Mystery)" (NHK General). The announcement was made at a press conference held in Tokyo on the same day to announce the addition of the new MC.
The program started in July of last year with Tamori, Shinya Yamanaka, and Riho Yoshioka. Yoshioka left the show as MC on the March 7th broadcast this year. MISIA will join as MC from the July 4th broadcast at 7:30 p.m., in the episode titled "What is the Universe?", and together with Tamori and Yamanaka, she will unravel the mysteries of life and science from a new perspective.
MISIA said, "I absolutely love learning new things and meeting new people. I am honored to be a part of this wonderful program. I will do my best to learn together with the viewers and convey feelings of inspiration and curiosity."
The July 4th broadcast of "What is the Universe?" will thoroughly explore the astonishing facts revealed by cutting-edge science about the origin and workings of the vast universe.
