The final episode of the TBS Friday drama "Takusari Brothers" (Fridays at 10 PM), starring actor Masaki Okada and also featuring Shota Sometani, aired on June 19th, and Kaito Miyachika, garnered attention.
◇The following contains spoilers.
Fumi (Atsuko Sendo) reveals the truth about the incident that happened 31 years ago. After hearing from "Mocchan," or Mogi (Takashi Yamanaka), that Sakutaro (Masato Wada) and the others didn't resist or even cry out, Makoto (Okada) and Minoru (Sometani) deduce that their parents were already dead. They each race against time to uncover the truth and find the real culprit using their own methods.
Eventually, because only his parents were eating yakisoba with vinegar, Minoru suspects poisoning and flies to Germany for a more detailed examination, where he discovers that the poisonous substance digitalis had been mixed in. Meanwhile, Makoto investigates the identity of "Fisherman Koji," who was murdered by Sakutaro after a deal for illegally manufactured guns fell through...
Makoto asked Ishizaka to investigate the company. Ishizaka made a complicated face and said, "I'm busy right now..." but he did what Makoto wanted. After finishing his investigation into the company, Ishizaka asked Makoto, "Can we have a yakiniku set meal?" Makoto replied, "The special is fine," and Ishizaka smiled and ordered the special yakiniku set meal from the waiter.
After reviewing the documents, Makoto looked serious, placed his police ID and 10,000 yen on the table, and left the store, saying, "Give this to the section chief..." and the story continued from there.
Despite the heavy and somber content, comments on social media included: "I want to see a spin-off about Detective Ishizaka," "He's the only reassuring presence in the drama," "I'm so glad Miyachika played Ishizaka Naoki," "Ishizaka was such a brief moment of relief," and "I was so happy he played such a big role until the very end."
