TV Asahi held a briefing on its October schedule changes on September 10th at the station (Minato-ku, Tokyo), where they discussed the reasons for the end of the popular program "Geki Rare-san wo Tsuretekita" (Mondays at 11:15pm, excluding some areas), which has been airing since 2016, as well as the possibility of future special programs.
"I Brought a Super Rare Person" is a talk variety show that began airing in October 2016, in which Audrey's Wakabayashi Masayasu acts as a researcher and announcer Ayaka Hironaka acts as a research assistant, listening to the stories of "super rare people" who have had extremely rare experiences in their lives. The regular broadcast will end this fall, and the same time slot will be replaced by a new program, "Koichi & Shige's SHOW Man!!," in which Domoto Koichi of DOMOTO and Kato Shigeaki of NEWS introduce the appeal of stage entertainment.
Shinya Terada, Director of Content Programming, commented, "The rescheduling was decided after a comprehensive review of recent performance. We are extremely grateful to Audrey's Wakabayashi for making the show a success for over eight years." When asked about the possibility of a future special program, he said, "It depends on the situation. We would like to proceed in consultation with the program staff."
