65-year-old impersonator and entertainer Korokke will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1:00 PM on September 11th. Korokke made his debut at the age of 20, and this year marks his 45th anniversary.
He was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both knees and underwent major surgery to insert artificial joints in February. The impersonation requires a lot of movement, which puts strain on his knees without him realizing it. He has been doing well since the surgery, and the doctor told him, "You'll be able to do robot impersonations until you're 80." He performed a new skit he had thought up during his three months in hospital for Kuroyanagi, but what was his reaction?
He is grateful that he has followed the teachings of his mother, whom he calls "Blue Bear," since he was a child, and that is why he is who he is today. His mother is now 89 years old and lives in his hometown of Kumamoto. He says that seeing her healthy and healthy gives him peace of mind and makes him want to move forward again. He also reveals a motto he has recently thought of.
