It has been announced that a new theatrical anime film, "KING OF PRISM-Tri-Star-Act," will be produced to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the popular anime series "KING OF PRISM (KinPri)." The announcement was made at the "KING OF PRISM SUPER LIVE Prism☆Tours!" event held at Keio Arena TOKYO (Chofu City, Tokyo) on June 28th, and a special trailer and teaser visual were released.
The special report begins with a scene in which Jin Norizuki, the head of the elite Prism Star training school Schwarz Rose, proudly declares his intention to defeat Edel Rose, to which Shin Ichijo and the Prism Star unit "SePTENTRION" belong, at the Prism Show trio competition "PRISM.3". While talented star units such as "TRI-UMviratuS" and "Over The Rainbow," which were newly formed in the previous work "KING OF PRISM -Your Endless Call- Everyone Shine! Prism☆Tours (KinTours)," successively announce their participation in the competition, Takayoshi Ushio, the younger brother of Takayoshi Minato, now known as Takanawa Getaway Prince, declares war, saying, "Let's put our wings on the line! Takayoshi Minato!" There are also scenes in which Tachibana Yukinojo, Juoin Kakeru, and Takayoshi Minato, who will be representing "SePTENTRION" in the competition, express their respective feelings.
The teaser visual features the tagline "Their bond will now be put to the test--" and depicts Yukinojo, Kakeru, and Minato, drawn by character designer Mai Matsuura. The visual is striking, showing the three "senior members" of "SePTENTRION" chatting in the Edel Rose dormitory at dusk.
Junta Terashima, who plays Shin Ichijo, commented, "Finally, finally...! A new King of Prism project has been decided! Thank you so much!!!! We have traveled through various dimensions in a time machine and have finally arrived at a place where an unknown sparkle awaits us: the Trio Tournament. I try to imagine all sorts of things that might happen, but I'm sure it won't turn out as I imagine, so I'll just wait excitedly for the script to arrive... I look forward to the day when we can shine together in the theater again!"
"King of Prism" is a spin-off of the TV anime "Pretty Rhythm: Rainbow Live," which aired from April 2013 to March 2014, depicting the earnest efforts of Koji Mihama, Hiro Hayami, and Kazuki Nishina as they dedicate themselves to singing and performing shows. Two theatrical anime films were released: "KING OF PRISM by PrettyRhythm" in 2016 and "KING OF PRISM -PRIDE the HERO-" in 2017.
In 2019, "KING OF PRISM -Shiny Seven Stars-" was broadcast as a TV anime, and a theatrical compilation version was also screened. Other films such as "KING OF PRISM ALL STARS -Prism Show☆Best Ten-" and "KING OF PRISM -Dramatic PRISM.1-" have also been screened. "KING OF PRISM -Your Endless Call- Everyone Shine! Prism☆Tours" was released in June 2025.
