It has been announced that the second season of the TV anime " Ace of Diamond Ace of Diamond Ace actII -Second Season-," based on Yuji Terajima 's popular baseball manga "Diamond no Ace," will begin airing on TV Tokyo and other networks in October. The announcement of the second season was made when the 13th and final episode of the first season aired on TV Tokyo on June 28th.
A teaser visual for the second cour has also been released. The visual shows Kazuya Miyuki of Seidou High School and Narumiya Mei of Inashiro Industrial High School facing off in the final match. The theme song artists have also been announced, with the band GLAY performing the opening theme (OP) and the music unit OxT, consisting of Oishi Masayoshi and Tom-H@ck, performing the ending theme (ED). Both artists, who have previously provided theme songs for the TV anime " Ace of Diamond," will add to the excitement of the final match between Seido and Inashiro Industrial.
"Ace of Diamond" began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) in 2006, and its sequel, "Ace of Diamond actII," was serialized in the same magazine from 2015 to 2022. The story follows the protagonist, Eijun Sawamura, as he enrolls in Seidou High School, a prestigious high school baseball school, and aims for the top of the national high school baseball championship with Kazuya Miyuki, Satoru Furuya, Haruichi Kominato, and others in the baseball club.
The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2013 to March 2015, the second season from April 2015 to March 2016, and "actII" aired from April 2019 to March 2020. "Ace of Diamond actII -Second Season-" is a sequel coming after approximately six years, with the first cour starting in April and concluding on June 28th.
