The screening event for the second season of the TV anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, " based on the manga currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan), was held on January 11th at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills (Minato Ward, Tokyo), with Atsumi Tanezaki , who plays Frieren , Kana Ichinose , who plays Fern , and Chiaki Kobayashi , who plays Stark , appearing to talk about the highlights of the second season.
Tanezaki commented on the new party of Frieren, Fern, and Stark, "Their teamwork is incredible. It's like they work in unison," to which Kobayashi nodded and said, "That's true! There's a lot of teamwork, including in the battle scenes. The enemies have gotten stronger, so you have to go all out to win. Their teamwork really shines."
On this day, the first and second episodes of the second season were screened for the first time in the world. Kobayashi said of the second season, "The end of the first season featured some intense magical scenes, but in comparison, this season starts at a slower pace, which creates a worldview that is typical of Frieren. You can enjoy the contrast between everyday life and tense battles."
Ichinose hinted, "I also like that scene between Stark and Fern. There's a cute exchange between them. I can't wait for you to see it." Tanezaki responded, "Zain told the two of them (Fern and Stark) to just start dating already, but I think they've gone beyond that point since the first episode."
At the event, it was announced that the popular band Mrs. Green Apple would be performing the opening theme for the second season, "lulu.", and that Kazuhiko Inoue, who plays the "Hero of the South," would be appearing, with Inoue making a surprise appearance.
