NHK's program "Sports x Human: Entrusting the 'Best View' to Teammates - Wataru Endo, Soccer Player," featuring former Japan national soccer team player Wataru Endo, will air on NHK BS on June 15th at 11:25 PM. For the past three years, he fought as captain of the Japanese national team with the goal of winning the World Cup. However, he was unable to return from a serious injury... The program explores the feelings he entrusted to his remaining teammates.
Endo has been working hard through rehabilitation to recover from a serious injury he suffered in February: a torn ligament in the top of his left foot. However, he was unable to fully recover his condition and was unable to participate in the World Cup. Endo wrote that the current Japanese national team "will overcome any adversity and show us sights we have never seen before." What are his hopes for the 26 players on the Japanese national team competing in the World Cup...?
