Singer Kiyoshi Hikawa will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1:00 PM on January 12th. Hikawa, who is now 48 years old and lives "as himself," will appear for the first time in five years. He will have a fun conversation with Kuroyanagi.
Hikawa debuted in 2000 and celebrated his 25th anniversary last year. Three years ago, he took a break from singing, and after a year and eight months of rest, he resumed his activities and is now showing a growth. He says he took a break because he wanted to take some time to reflect on his life after running nonstop for 22 years. During his break, he also experienced living abroad, meeting many different people there and rediscovering the charm of singing. He says that this made him strongly desire to sing.
Since the show resumed, he has been taking on new challenges, and this time he will be performing a new song in front of Kuroyanagi. As is customary, he will bring in some mandarin oranges from his balcony and offer them to Kuroyanagi, asking her to eat them. A video clip from his first appearance on the show 25 years ago will also be shown.
