It has been announced that a fifth season, "5th Season," of the TV anime "Classroom of the Elite," based on the light novel series published by MF Bunko J (KADOKAWA), is in production. The final episode of the fourth season, "4th Season: Second Year, First Semester," aired on June 24th, and the production of the fifth season was announced at that time. A newly drawn visual of the main character, Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, was also released.
"Classroom of the Elite" is based on a light novel written by Shogo Kinugasa and illustrated by Shunsaku Tomose. It depicts the school life of the protagonist, Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, who is assigned to the lowest-ranking class at the prestigious Advanced Nurturing High School, one of the nation's top schools where meritocracy reigns supreme, and Suzune Horikita, a beautiful girl in the same class who is academically excellent but has a very difficult personality. The series has sold over 11.6 million copies in total.
The first season of the TV anime aired from July to September 2017, the second season from July to September 2022, and the third season from January to March 2024. The fourth season began airing in April and concluded on June 24th.
