A trailer for the theatrical compilation of Toei Animation's original anime "Girls Band Cry" has been released on YouTube. It shows Isekiri Nina dropping out of high school and heading to Tokyo alone. It also includes a scene where she powerfully speaks on stage, "I'm going to shout to all the people who denied everything about me, 'I'm not wrong.'" A key visual featuring the band "Togenashi Togeari" from the film has also been released.
The second round of movie tickets, which come with a clear card featuring the key visual as a purchase bonus, will go on sale on May 30th. Movie tickets for the theatrical compilation "Part 1: Rhapsody of Youth" will feature three designs, featuring Isekiri Nina, Kawaraki Momoka, and Yasuwa Subaru, while movie tickets for "Part 2: Hey, Future" will feature Ebitsuka Satoshi, Rupa, and the movie's key visual.
"Girls Band Cry" depicts the protagonist, Isekiri Nina, who dropped out of high school and moved to Tokyo, forming the band "Togenashi Togeari" with Kawaraki Momoka, Yasuwa Subaru, Ebitsuka Satoshi, and Rupa, and growing through music. It is attracting attention as a new girls' band anime in which the band formed by the protagonists in the story is linked to a real band. The TV anime aired from April to June 2024. The first volume of the Blu-ray disc and DVD has been gaining popularity, with cumulative shipments exceeding 23,000 copies.
The compilation movie will be split into two parts: "Part 1: Rhapsody of Youth" will be released on October 3rd, and "Part 2: Hey, Future" will be released on November 14th.
