It has been announced that a new feature-length animated film, "Is the Order a Rabbit? The Movie?", based on the popular anime "Is the Order a Rabbit? (Gochiusa)," which is currently being serialized in "Manga Time Kirara MAX" (Houbunsha), by Koi, will be produced. The production of a new anime was announced on March 1st, and it has now been revealed that it will be produced as a feature-length film.
The new movie will be directed by Hiroyuki Hashimoto, who has directed the TV anime series, as general director, with Tensho, known for "Kiniro Mosaic," as director and scriptwriter. Munenori Nawa will be assistant director, and Akane Yano will be in charge of character design. The movie will be produced by Vibrancy Animation Studio, of which Tensho is the representative. The first teaser visuals of Cocoa and Chino, drawn by Yano, have been released.
Original author Koi commented, "I am truly happy that we will be able to deliver this work to everyone as a theatrical version. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has worked on the anime series so far, and also to everyone at Vibury Animation Studios, who is producing this theatrical version. "GochiUsa" is a four-panel manga that has been serialized in "Manga Time Kirara MAX" since 2011. It depicts the daily lives of Cocoa, a young girl who left her parents and lives in a cafe called Rabbit House while attending school, and Chino, the granddaughter of the cafe owner.
The first season of the TV anime "Is the Order a Rabbit?" aired from April to June 2014, the second season "Is the Order a Rabbit??" aired from October to December 2015, and the third season "Is the Order a Rabbit? BLOOM" aired from October to December 2020.
