It has been announced that the TV anime series "Maid-san wa Taberu Dake," based on the manga by Susumu Maeya that is currently being serialized on Kodansha's web manga service "Comic DAYS," will begin airing in April 2026. A visual of the main character, maid Tachibana Suzume, during her winter vacation has been released. The image shows Suzume holding a "Chunman" bun in the shape of Chun, the mascot character for the guidebook "Chun Guide," with a delicious expression on her face.
To commemorate the release of the winter vacation visuals, the official account X (@lovetoeat_maid) will be holding a giveaway campaign to win a colored paper containing Maeya's handwritten illustration and the autographs of each cast member.
The story is about Tachibana Suzume, who works as a maid in a British mansion, but due to a certain incident, begins a new life in a small apartment in a corner of Japan... Suzume is very interested in Japanese food, so she dashes out of the apartment and encounters all kinds of food and people.
The anime will be directed by Ryosuke Izumiyasu and produced by EMT Squared and Magic Bus. Kana Ichinose will play Suzume Tachibana, while Chihiro Suno will play Ricotta Fresca and Maki Kawase will play Maki Kawase Komatsu.
