It was announced on December 25th that Ryo's manga "Are You a Landmine? Chihara-san," currently being serialized on the manga app "GANMA!", will be adapted into a TV anime. The romantic comedy begins when the protagonist Kuroki ends up sitting next to Chihara Mai (Chihara-san), a high school girl who is rumored to be a landmine, and has gained popularity with the total number of copies of the manga sold exceeding 600,000. It was also announced that the main cast will feature Sayumi Suzushiro as Chihara Mai and Kazuki Ura as Kuroki. A teaser visual depicting Chihara-san and setting drawings of Chihara and Kuroki have been released.
The main staff has also been announced. Yasuaki Fujii, who was in charge of storyboards and direction for "Teasing Teasing Master Takagi-san the Movie," will serve as director, Keiichiro Ochi, who has worked on "The Quintessential Quintuplets," will be in charge of series composition, Majiro, who has worked on "Macross Delta," will be in charge of character design, and Arisa Okehazama, who has worked on "The Apothecary Diaries," will be in charge of music. SynergySP will be producing the film.
