Season 2 "Final Chapter" of the original TV anime "Kamierabi GOD.app" based on the original idea of Yoko Taro, a game creator who has worked on the popular "NieR" series, and written by Jin, creator of the media mix project "Kagerou Project", has been announced to be broadcast on Fuji TV's late-night anime slot "+Ultra" from October 2nd. Additional cast members have also been announced, with Kuno Misaki playing a new character, Sasaki Ieko (Eko), who will appear in Season 2.
Eko will pursue the truth about Kamierabi together with Lal, the younger sister of Goro, the protagonist of Season 1. Kuno commented, "This was my first time playing a role like this. Every time I read the script I received, I felt like I was being smacked directly on the head. A new door opened wide... it was so much fun..."
Information on the theme songs was also announced, revealing that the band "Nanashi no Taro" will be in charge of the opening theme "Fuuka" and the band "LEEVELLES" will be in charge of the ending theme "Shiawase no Susume". A promotional video depicting Lal struggling to revive Goro, who disappeared in season 1, and visuals of characters such as Lal and Nico were also released.
The story is about those chosen by the "Great Will" who fight to make their wishes come true by killing each other until only one remains for the position of God. Following season 1, which aired on +Ultra from October to December 2023, character design will be handled by manga artist Ohkubo Atsushi, who has worked on "Fire Force" and "Soul Eater", and director will be Seshita Hiroyuki, who has worked on "Knights of Sidonia" and "BLAME!".
