In episode 57, Heaven (Tommy Bastow), Toki (Takaishi), and Masaki (Yukito Hidaka) receive a purification ritual at Daiouji Temple. Heaven tells the temple's head priest about a ghost story that has been passed down at the temple, "The Woman Buying Starch Candy." Heaven is deeply moved by the priest's ghost story and becomes fascinated by it.
