On June 19th, Friday Road Show (Nippon Television Network, Fridays at 9 PM) will broadcast "Toy Story 2" (2000, USA), the second film in the popular animated series, to commemorate the release of the latest installment, "Toy Story 5".
For Woody (Toshiaki Karasawa), the most important day of the year had arrived. He was going to cowboy camp with Andy (Wataru Kitao). However, while playing with Andy, the sleeve of his shirt came undone, and he was left behind in the room.
Meanwhile, Woody tries to help Wheezy (voiced by Masato Sako), a penguin toy that's being sold at a junk market, but is stolen by Al, the owner of the toy store.
Woody, a "super premium doll," is about to be sent to a Japanese toy museum along with Jessie (voiced by Yumi Kusaka), a cowgirl doll. However, Jessie tells him a certain truth, and his desire to return to his friends begins to waver. Just then, Buzz and his friends appear, navigating various dangers to rescue Woody, and a grand adventure begins.
Next week, on Friday, June 26th, Friday Road Show will broadcast the third film in the series, "Toy Story 3" (2010, USA), with a 5-minute extension and uncut.
