A collaborative visual has been released between the monster movie "Godzilla" and the TV anime "Snowball Earth," which is based on the manga by Yuichiro Tsuji, currently serialized in "Monthly Spirits" (Shogakukan).
Set against the backdrop of an Earth covered in ice, the giant robot Yukio, humanity's last hope, clashes head-on with Godzilla, who exudes an overwhelming presence that destroys everything in its path. The visual depicts the clash of their fighting spirits. In the background, the Earth Defense Force's underwater battleship Gotengo, which fought a fierce battle in the movie "Godzilla: Final Wars," is also depicted. A special video featuring Godzilla's familiar roar has also been released.
"Snowball Earth" is a sci-fi x monster x robot action series set on Snowball Earth, an Earth covered in snow and ice. The story follows Tetsuo, a shy boy, and his giant robot partner Yukio, as they return to Earth 10 years after a final battle for the survival of humanity, only to find it frozen solid. It airs every Friday at 11:30 PM on Nippon Television's anime block "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT (FuraAni)".
