Actress Keiko Kitagawa attended the press conference for the "Louvre Museum Renaissance" exhibition held in Tokyo on June 18. Kitagawa, who has been appointed as the exhibition ambassador and will also be providing the audio guide, expressed her delight, saying, "I never thought it would happen to me, but I'm very happy."
Kitagawa has visited the Louvre Museum many times and even went to see the previous exhibition held in Japan privately. She and her husband, DAIGO, visited the previous exhibition together and bought a lot of merchandise, saying that "even after returning home, I was still basking in the afterglow."
"Louvre Museum Renaissance" (organized by the National Art Center, Tokyo, the Louvre Museum, Nippon Television Network, Yomiuri Shimbun, and BS Nippon Television) will exhibit more than 50 works selected from the vast collection of the Louvre Museum in Paris, representing the Renaissance art that flourished throughout Europe in the 15th and 16th centuries. Leonardo da Vinci's "Beautiful Ferro ni Ale" will be shown in Japan for the first time. This will be the first exhibition of works from the museum's collection in Japan in three years, following "Louvre Museum Exhibition: Painting Love," which was held in Tokyo and Kyoto in 2023 and attracted approximately 730,000 visitors.
The exhibition will be held at the National Art Center, Tokyo (Minato Ward, Tokyo) from September Getsuku to December 13.
