The comic adaptation of the popular anime "Lycoris Recoil" graced the cover and opening color pages of the manga magazine "Monthly Comic Flapper" (KADOKAWA), released on September 5th. The cover is a newly drawn illustration with the theme of "Looking back on memorable selfies at the end of summer," featuring Nishikigi Chisoku and Inoue Takina in swimsuits.
The opening color pages feature Chisoku and Takina dressed up. The book comes with a "bath poster" featuring Chisoku and Takina having fun at the beach.
"Lycoris Recoil" is an original TV anime directed by Adachi Shingo, who was in charge of character design and general animation direction for the "Sword Art Online" and "WORKING!!" series. It depicts the exploits of a young girl (Lycoris) who is an agent for DA (Direct Attack), a secret organization that prevents crimes from happening.
The TV anime will air from July to September 2022, and it has also been adapted into a novel, comic book, and stage play. It has also been announced that a new anime will be produced. The comic book adaptation is currently being serialized in "Monthly Comic Flapper" and is illustrated by Yasunori Bizen.
