The second week of the NHK morning drama series "Omusubi" starring Kanna Hashimoto (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. and others) aired "What is a Gal?" on October 8th. In the seventh episode...

Yui (Hashimoto), who was almost threatened by the gal Ruuri (Mirichiamu), who is the head of the Hakata Gal Union, is touched by the gentle guidance of calligraphy club member Kazami (Matsumoto Reo), and thinks that calligraphy is far better than gals. The calligraphy club decides to make a banner to support the baseball club's game, and Yui participates with Emi (Nakamura Moriri) and the others, feeling like she is enjoying her youth to the fullest.

"Omusubi" is a "Heisei youth graffiti" in which the heroine, born in 1989, connects people's hearts and futures as a nutritionist with the "gal spirit" of valuing her own individuality at all times. It is an original work by screenwriter Nemoto Nonji, who is known for his work on the NHK drama "Honest Real Estate."
