"DOPE" Kaito Takahashi, the "Saiki" who knows the truth, is a hot topic "No way"

The eighth episode of the drama series " DOPE " (TBS, Fridays at 10pm), starring Kaito Takahashi of the popular group "King & Prince" and actor Tomoya Nakamura , aired on August 22nd. The episode drew attention from viewers as it showed Saiki Yuto (played by Takahashi) learning about the background to the creation of the new drug "DOPE."

Saiki is taken to a laboratory at the BioAil Genetics Research Institute by his mother, Miwako ( Sei Matobu). "Come in. I'm sure you can see it now," Saiki is urged to enter the lab. Using his psychometry ability, which allows him to see the past associated with objects when he touches them, Saiki sees his father, Takashi (Tamura Kentaro), a researcher, and Miwako, a psychic who is assisting him in his research.

Takashi initially researched and developed a new drug that would enable the stable use of paranormal powers, but it turned out that the drug he developed at the end of his research was actually dope.

Miwako regretted, "My father simply believed that supernatural powers were the way to bring peace to the world. But he created something so horrible..." but for Saiki, it was an unacceptable reality: "My father invented dope."

Social media was abuzz with comments such as, "I can't believe Saiki's father was the developer of DOPE...", "Saiki was shocked to find out that her father created dope", "It must be painful. The story is based on the novel of the same name (Kadokawa Bunko) by Kizaki Chiaki, who made her debut as a novelist after winning the Grand Prize at the 20th Dengeki Novel Awards for her work "Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens." Set in a near-future Japan where a mysterious new drug called "DOPE" is rampant, the story follows rookie drug enforcement officer Saiki Yuto of the secret Narcotics Control Department's Special Investigation Division (Special Investigation Division) and his trainer Jinnai Teppei as they attempt to solve a mysterious case.
