ONE PIECE Card Game:Shanks drawn by the author of "SAKAMOTO DAYS" and Buggy drawn by Kyosuke Usuta will also be included in the "Jump" supplement

It has been revealed that original cards for the trading card game "ONE PIECE Card Game" (Bandai), based on Eiichiro Oda's popular manga "ONE PIECE", will be included as a bound-in supplement in two consecutive issues of "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha). Issue 45 of the magazine, on sale from October 7th, will have a card with a Shanks design drawn by Suzuki Yuto of "SAKAMOTO DAYS" as a supplement. Issue 46, on sale from October 15th, will have a Buggy card drawn by Usuta Kyosuke of "Sexy Commando Gaiden Sugoi yo!! Masaru-san". The card design has been made public.

The issue features "ONE PIECE" on the cover and in color, with the captions "Extra excitement and new adventures await!!" and "A new chapter begins!!"

"ONE PIECE" is a manga about a young man wearing a straw hat, Luffy, whose limbs can stretch like rubber, as he adventures across the ocean with his companions in an attempt to become the King of the Pirates. The series began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997.

The first volume of the comic was released in December 1997, and the first edition of the 57th volume, released in March 2010, had a print run of approximately 3 million copies, the highest print run in the history of Japanese publishing, and has maintained this number to this day. The 67th volume, released in August 2012, was published with a print run of approximately 4.05 million copies, breaking the previous record. The total number of copies of the comic published worldwide has exceeded 510 million as of August 2022. The total number of copies published in Japan is over 410 million. The series is distributed in 60 countries and regions overseas, with a total print run of over 100 million copies.

The TV anime produced by Toei Animation began broadcasting on Fuji TV in 1999, and celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2024. There is also buzz about the production of a re-animated version of "THE ONE PIECE" with all-new footage starting from the first episode of the original work. In August 2023, a Hollywood live-action drama version began streaming on Netflix and gained popularity. The production of season 2 of the live-action drama has also been announced.
