The first footage from the film " Kowloon Generic Romance " (directed by Chihiro Ikeda, scheduled for release on August 29th), starring actors Riho Yoshioka and Koshi Mizukami , was released on August 6th. The footage shows Reiko, played by Yoshioka, and Kudo, played by Mizukami, approaching each other at "zero distance," hinting at the beginning of love.
The story is based on the manga of the same name by Mayuzuki Jun, known for works such as "Love is Like After the Rain." Kujirai Reiko (Yoshioka), who works at a real estate agency in the nostalgic city of Kowloon, harbors a slight crush on her senior colleague, Kudo Hatsu (Mizukami). When she happens to find a photo, she discovers that Kudo once had a fiancé who looks just like her. As the past, present, and future intertwine, with lost memories, the true identity of her other self, and a huge secret hidden in the city of Kowloon, love will unravel the secret. The story was also adapted into a TV anime, which aired on TV Tokyo and other channels from April to June.
The video released is titled "Two people falling in love." Reiko and Kudo are enjoying a casual conversation on the rooftop during a break at work, but when Kudo says, "I think this feeling of nostalgia is the same as love," Reiko replies, "I don't feel any nostalgia for this town," but then Reiko says, "But sometimes I feel that way about you, Kudo-san. 'Nostalgia,'" and Kudo seems to come to his senses. Seeing a resemblance in Reiko to his fiance, Kujirai B, Kudo approaches Reiko with a serious look in his eyes and suddenly strokes her ear. Reiko is shaken by Kudo's unusually serious expression, and the tension between the two reaches a peak as they unexpectedly become "zero distance"...
