Former AKB48 idol group member and actress/model Mariko Shinoda appeared at a press conference in Tokyo on June 29th for the drama series "Ochitara Owari" (Chukyo TV, Nippon TV, Wednesdays at 12:24 AM). This was Shinoda's first public appearance since announcing her remarriage on March 29th.
Shinoda, who usually describes herself as "impatient," reflected on the filming, saying, "The character I played is someone who can naturally control people. She lives in an elegant and relaxed world, so I tried to breathe slowly to project an aura. Even so, my impatience sometimes showed through in my movements, so I made sure to be careful to be graceful."
Shinoda married a non-celebrity man in February 2019 and announced the birth of her first child, a daughter, in April 2020. She announced her divorce in March 2023. Then, on March 29, she commented on her Instagram, "I would like to announce that I have registered my marriage with someone I have been dating for some time. We hope to walk together peacefully."
Misato Ugaki, Aimi Satsukawa, Kei Kazebuki, and Sarina Suzuki also appeared at the press conference announcing the production.
The drama is based on the manga of the same name by Keiko Suenobu. It is a "survival suspense" about women, set in a newly built high-rise apartment building, where jealousy, betrayal, and suspicion swirl among mothers who are friends. The first episode will air on July 1st at 12:34 AM.
