Former flight attendant and gravure idol Kei Kazebuki appeared at a press conference held in Tokyo on June 29th for the drama series "Ochitara Owari" (Chukyo TV, Nippon TV network, Wednesdays at 12:24 AM).
Kazebuki plays Sakuraba Kokona, a cheerful, innocent, and impulsive mood-maker. Behind her friendly exterior, she sometimes reveals unexpected sides to her personality.
When asked about the funniest scene during filming, Kazebuki revealed, "I play a character who has an affair... In that scene, I straddle the husband and say, 'Ah! Someone else's is the best!' (In reality) you would never say that!"
She continued, "When I consulted with the director, he said, 'Wouldn't Kokona say it?' (laughs). She's a character who can say things that other characters can't, so I hope you'll pay attention to her." Still, she gave a wry smile and said, "It's hard to believe, isn't it?"
Misato Ugaki, Mariko Shinoda, Aimi Satsukawa, and Sarina Suzuki also attended the press conference announcing the production.
The drama is based on the manga of the same name by Keiko Suenobu. It is a "survival suspense" about women, set in a newly built high-rise apartment building, where jealousy, betrayal, and suspicion swirl among mothers who are friends. The first episode will air on July 1st at 12:34 AM.
