It was revealed on January 26th that the average weekly viewership rating (households) for the 16th week of "Bakeke" (NHK General TV, Monday to Saturday 8am and others), starring Takaishi Akari, "Kawa, No, Mukou." (January 19th to 23rd), was 15.5% (calculated from Video Research, Kanto region).
"Bakeke" is the 113th morning drama. Based on the story of Lafcadio Hearn (Koizumi Yakumo) and his wife Setsu, the story follows a couple, with a love of ghost stories, as they go about their everyday lives together with their foreign husband. Takaishi plays the main character, Matsuno Toki, while Tommy Bastow plays Toki's husband, Lefkada Heaven.
In the 16th week, Heaven (Tommy Bastow) finally completes his diary of his stay in Japan, and Toki (Takaishi) and his friends throw a celebration party.
While Nishikori (Yoshizawa Ryo) and Yamahashi (Emoto Tokio) are also in attendance, Kajitani (Iwasaki Udai) suddenly appears. Kajitani requests an in-depth interview to write an article about Heaven and the daily life of the Matsuno family, and although everyone is confused, they accept.
The series of articles, titled "Heaven Sensei's Diary," begins, and the Matsuno family becomes the center of attention. Meanwhile, Sawa (played by Wan Marui) and Nami (played by Honami Sato) are pondering how to get out of their tenement house. Then, Nami receives an offer to buy her freedom.
Eventually, Sawa starts to act cold towards Toki, but Toki continues to support Sawa as she studies to get her teaching qualifications.
