Sandayu Dokumamushi's "sharp tongue" originates from his family environment.

Talent Sandayu Dokumamushi will be a guest on the BS12 Twelvi program "Tsurube-chan and Sawako-chan ~A Showa Era Senior and Two Quirky People~" airing on June 22nd at 9pm. Born in 1936, Dokumamushi, now 90 years old, grew up with parents who called each other "Oyadanuki" (old raccoon dog) and "Tanuki Babaa" (old raccoon dog hag). He will talk about his childhood, including the family environment that became the origin of his now-famous "sharp tongue," and his harrowing war experiences during the air raids.

The program features veteran comedians from the Showa era, such as Shofukutei Tsurube (53 years in the industry) and Sawako Agawa (42 years in the industry), who affectionately call them "Tsurube-chan" and "Sawako-chan," as guests each week.

On that day's program, Dokumamushi shared stories about meeting his close friend and contemporary, rakugo storyteller Tatekawa Danshi, during their student days, anecdotes from his appearance in Ultraman, and the backstory behind his name change to Sandayu Dokumamushi. He also unleashed his signature "Dokumamushi style" on the late Tatekawa Danshi, saying, "If that guy lives long, he'll cause a lot of trouble," while also expressing his overflowing feelings and gratitude towards Danshi.
