It has been revealed that actress Mari Hoshino will serve as the charity runner for Nippon Television's charity program "24-Hour Television 49 - Love Saves the Earth -" which will be broadcast on August 29th and 30th.
Hoshino, who announced in 2024 that her daughter has a nationally designated intractable disease called "congenital myopathy" and who has also obtained a social worker qualification, appeared with her family on last year's 24-Hour Television charity program. She attracted attention for watching over her daughters as they fulfilled their wish to "go out on their own."
Hoshino commented, "In the 10 years I've spent with my daughter, I've come to wish for a world where all children are not separated and can choose their own place in the world. I would be happy if my running in this event could be an opportunity for people to think about how we can make the world a kinder place."
Following last year's success, they will be conducting a fundraising campaign specifically for the purpose of supporting children in marathon running. The distance to be run will be determined after further training.
