The cast of 18 previously unannounced members for each team appearing in the TV anime "Honoo no Toukyuujo Dodge Danko," a legitimate sequel to Tetsuhiro Koshita's popular dodgeball manga "Honoo no Toukyuuji Dodge Danpei" from the 1990s, has been announced. The cast includes Anzaki Tachibana as Azusa Tachibana, Rena Hasegawa as Akari Higashiyama, Saya Hitomi as Saya Sakakibara, Ayasa Ito as Rin Kobayakawa, and Momoka Terasawa as Rei Mitamura of St. Arrows.
The cast of Tosa Attackers includes Serika Hiromatsu as Harima Miho, Kanae Oki as Marina, Miyu Hanasaki as Momoka, Nichika Omori as Rinka, Marika Asahina as Katsuragi Nanami, and Larissa Takeda as Shijukuma Natsumi.
It has also been announced that Nozomi Mikajiri will play Elda in the US Buffaloes, Marina Inoue will play Satsuki Takayama in the Black Armors, Yurie Kosakai will play Akira Ogata, Shiori Izawa will play Tsuki Usami, Rika Hayashi will play Haruka Minori Fujidera, Yoshinori Fujidera will play Aya Yuki, and Misa Ishii will play Arata Hattori.
The main visual for the anime has also been released. In addition to the seven members of the rugby club at Shin-Tamagawa Elementary and Junior High School, it depicts the four captains of each team: Hirako Nikaido of St. Arrows, Ran Mido of Black Armors, Zoe of US Buffaloes, and Ryuka Sakamoto of Tosa Attackers.
"Dodge Danpei" is a dodgeball manga that depicts the growth of elementary school student Danpei Ichigeki as he competes against rivals in Super Dodgeball. It was serialized in "CoroCoro Comic" from 1989 to 1995, and an anime adaptation aired from 1991 to 1992.
"Honoo no Toukyuu Onna Dodge Danko" is a manga series starring Ichigeki Danko, the daughter of Ichigeki Danpei, the protagonist of "Honoo no Toukyuuji Dodge Danpei." It began serialization in 2022 on "Weekly CoroCoro Comic," the manga website of "CoroCoro Comic" (Shogakukan). The story depicts Danko's struggles to create the strongest dodgeball team in the Reiwa era. The first episode's PV has surpassed 700,000 views, and it has gained popularity, frequently trending on X on the days new episodes are released. The anime will begin airing on TOKYO MX and other channels from July 6th.
