It has been announced that the band Official Hige Dandism will be performing the opening theme song "Make Me Wonder" for the TV anime "The Darwin Incident," based on the manga by Shun Umezawa, which was also the winner of the Manga Taisho Awards 2022. The official trailer for the anime, which uses the song, will be released at 7 PM on December 12th.
The band will be performing the opening theme song, and commented, "I really love this work, so I was just happy, but it's also a unique work that mixes comedy and seriousness, so I remember immediately starting to think about what kind of song I should write." Regarding the original work, he said, "The words spoken by the characters, including Charlie, often made me think, and combined with the thrilling scenes, it was a really captivating work. I read all the way up to the latest volume in no time, and now I'm looking forward to the release of the new volume."
Regarding the song, he said, "It's an interesting song that mixes excitement and fear about the 'unknown'. The thick band sound matches the worldview of the work, and I feel that it has turned out to be a song that I am really looking forward to performing live." He also sent a message saying, "I created this song in the hope that people would feel the same way I did when I read the work: 'I wonder what will happen next!?' through the song. As the opening theme song, I would be happy if I could add even a little bit of wonderful color to the wonderful work that is ' The Darwin Incident'."
