It has been announced that the latest TV anime in the Pierrot Magical Girl series, which includes the anime series Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel Mami, "Magical Sisters Lullutto Lily," will begin airing in April 2026. The Pierrot Magical Girl series is a series that aired five works on TV from 1983 to 1998, and this will be the first time a new TV anime will be broadcast in approximately 28 years, since the fifth work, "Magical Stage Fancy Lala," which aired in 1998. The main characters will be sisters Nonoyama Kaze and Nonoyama Ryuha. A teaser visual featuring the sisters Nonoyama Kaze and Ryuha holding magical items has also been released, as well as a pilot film depicting a magical transformation scene.
Shintaro Dokai, who has worked on "Arknights [Perish in Frost]" and other titles, will serve as director and will be in charge of character design. Yuko Kakihara will be in charge of series composition and scriptwriting. The cast will include Mei Tachibana as the younger sister, Kaze Nonoyama, and Nao Ojika as the older sister, Nagare Nonoyama. Other cast members include Hiroki Nanami, Ai Kayano, Fuka Izumi, and Fuu Hirohara.
Nonoyama Kaze, an innocent elementary school student, and Nonoyama Ryu, a modest but hardworking middle school student, were close sisters, but the distance between them had been growing. One day, Kaze encounters a mysterious spaceship and is granted magical powers. Meanwhile, Ryu also gains magical powers. Kaze and Ryu transform into the adult forms they had always dreamed of, but there are rules: "The deadline is one year" and "No one can know about the magic," so, unaware of each other's secrets, they each begin to work as idols. Kaze transforms into Konpe and Lily, and Ryu transforms into Mashururu.
Nanami will play Uguisu, a cat-like girl who comes from the magical land of Felix Star, Kayano will play Azuki, who is also cat-like, Izumi will play Kamitate Touko, an idol affiliated with Production One More, and Hirohara will play Aozono Sena, also an idol.
The Pierrot Magical Girl series was broadcast with the first series, "Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel Mami," airing from 1983 to 1984, the second, "Magical Fairy Persia," from 1984 to 1985, the third, "Magical Star Magical Emi," from 1985 to 1986, the fourth, "Magical Idol Pastel Yumi," in 1986, and the fifth, "Magical Stage Fancy Lala," in 1998. The characters from the first series, "Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel Creamy Mami," designed by Akemi Takada, are also popular, and continue to be loved in the Reiwa era, with toys and merchandise being released.

The dubbing started with the sound director shouting, "Let's become magical girls!" and "Yeeeees!!" I couldn't take my eyes off Tachibana Mei-chan and Ojika Nao-chan, who play the two sisters, as they look so fresh and serious as they tackle their roles.
