The 13th episode of the popular detective drama "Aibou Season 23" (TV Asahi, Wednesdays at 9pm) titled "Resilience" was broadcast on January 29th, and the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 9.7% for households and 5.6% for individuals.
"Aibou" is a detective drama in which Ukyo Sugishita (Yutaka Mizutani), a member of the Metropolitan Police Department's "Special Investigation Unit," solves many difficult cases with his partner, using his genius mind to solve his case. Since its launch in 2000, four partners have been created to date: Kameyama Kaoru (Yasufumi Mitsuhiro Oikawa), Kobe Takeru (Mitsuhiro Oikawa), Kai Toru (Hiroki Narimiya), and Kanjo Wataru (Takashi Sorimachi). In "Season 21," Kaoru, the original partner, returns to the Special Investigation Unit. This marks the 10th season for Ukyo and Kaoru as a pair.
Izumi Motoya made a guest appearance in episode 13.
Miwako (Suzuki Sawa) was covering an unsolved case. She asked Ukyo and Kaoru to re-examine an incident that occurred five years ago, in which a 23-year-old young man was murdered by someone in a park. As the two interview the victim's mother, a man named Hirai (Izumi) appears next to them. He is a former police officer who says he supports victims of unsolved cases, but suddenly confesses, "I'm the culprit"... and so the story unfolds.
