"Oshi no Ko" is a popular manga written by Akasaka Aka, author of "Kaguya-sama: Love is War" and illustrated by Yokoyari Mengo, known for "Scum's Wish," which began serialization in Weekly Young Jump in April 2020. It depicts the story of a twin brother and sister left behind by a genius idol named Ai, who suddenly dies. The twin sister, Ruby, admires her mother and enters the entertainment industry, while the brother, Aqua, vows to take revenge on their biological father, who is believed to have accomplices in Ai's murder. In the serialization, the story has entered its "final chapter." The comic has sold over 18 million copies in total.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2023, and the second season aired from July to October this year. It has also been announced that a third season will be produced.
