The 20th episode of the new TV anime "Shin Samurai Den YAIBA," based on the manga "YAIBA" by Gosho Aoyama , who is known for " Detective Conan " and other works, titled "Monkey Basho's Strategy," will be broadcast on the Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV network at 5:30 pm on August 23rd.
Having obtained six of the legendary jewels, Hajime and his companions are searching for the last one, visiting Aomori, the last of its kind. When they arrive at a certain temple, the jewels that Hajime and his companions are holding suddenly begin to glow, as if resonating with the last jewel. To the surprise of the group, an old man calling himself Matsuo Basho appears, holding the final jewel they were looking for. A battle begins over the jewel, but Basho reveals his true identity and launches a petrification attack, which the group finds difficult to overcome.
"YAIBA" is a swordplay action manga that Aoyama serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan) from 1988 to 1993, before " Detective Conan" began serialization. It depicts the exploits of Yaiba Kurogane, an unconventional young swordsman who trains in the jungle with his father. The story follows Tetsujin, who returns to Japan by chance and makes great strides in his quest to become even stronger in a new training ground. The script for the new anime will be fully supervised by Aoyama, the original author. It will be produced by WIT STUDIO, known for "Attack on Titan" and "SPY x FAMILY".
