It has been announced that filming for the NHK morning drama " Anpan " (General Asadora , Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM), starring Mio Imada , wrapped up on August 22nd. Takumi Kitamura, who plays the husband of the main character Nobu (Imada), Taka, reflected on the roughly one-year filming period, saying, "This was my first time acting in a Asadora, and to be honest, I was worried at times, but the set was just amazing. There was such passion in the filming of every single scene, and I think that's why I was able to discuss things together and create the story."
Kitamura also revealed, "I always felt that this might be the first and last time that Imada and I would be involved in a Asadora as a married couple," and I'm really glad that that production was "Anpan." I stayed in the waiting room during breaks instead of going back to the dressing room, and I realized that Nobu was doing the same. There were many moments when I felt all sorts of things when I was next to her, and I felt it was my responsibility as Takashi and as Kitamura to support Nobu. I think she really did a great job right to the end. I can't imagine Nobu being with anyone other than Imada. Thank you so much," he said, expressing his gratitude to Imada.
"Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013) and Nobu Komatsu(1918-1993), the manga artist and picture book writer who created "Anpanman." It is a "story of love and courage" that will fill you with the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobodys, overcame all sorts of rough seas to become "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."
The drama will have its final episode on September 26th.
Chief Producer Ken Kurasaki, who oversees production, commented, "It's been about a year since we started filming in Kochi in early September last year. Time has really flown by. Every day was so intense, and we were able to complete all the filming with such an amazing dream team. Looking back, I cherish every moment. Mio Imada, who continued to run with a smile on her face as the leader of the cast, and Takumi Kitamura, who always supported Imada by her side. I am filled with gratitude to all the cast, staff, and everyone involved." He continued, "And what gives us energy as we head to the set is the many warm comments we receive every day from our viewers," and called on viewers to "only have about a month left until the broadcast. How will the beloved Anpanman be born? I hope you will look forward to watching until the final episode."
