It was announced on June 30th that Serika Toa, former top star of the Takarazuka Revue's Cosmos Troupe, will hold her first self-produced concert since leaving Takarazuka, "SERIKA TOA CONCERT NEW ERA -The Circle-EN" (in cooperation with WOWOW and others), in Osaka at the end of this year and in Tokyo at the beginning of next year. The key visual was also unveiled.
Known by her nickname "Kiki," Serika, a native of Kobe City, joined the Takarazuka Revue in 2007 as a member of the 93rd class. Utilizing her tall stature, she gained immense popularity as a mature male role performer, known for her elegance and glamour. In "Forever Gershwin," she played the piano herself as composer George Gershwin, and in the comedy masterpiece "Promises, Promises," she displayed a humorous performance characteristic of someone from the Kansai region. In "Excalibur," she showcased her rich singing ability, continuing to captivate fans.
She left the Takarazuka Revue in April 2025, much to the regret of her fans, and held her first concert since leaving the company in Shanghai, China in November of the same year. In January 2026, she released her first single, "Hikari," and continues to work as an actress and singer.
This time, she will hold her first concert in Japan. With "EN" as the theme, she will weave together music that resonates across genres with the performers. She plans to showcase "the next generation of Serika Toa," who has evolved even further through self-production.
For direction and choreography, they have enlisted ASUKA, a top dancer who has worked as a backing dancer for domestic and international artists, including Namie Amuro's tour dancers, and who also has experience choreographing for the Takarazuka Revue. With ASUKA's direction, which is intimately familiar with both pop music and the aesthetic beauty of Takarazuka, this is sure to be a stylish concert on a new level.
"ERIKA TOA CONCERT NEW ERA -The Circle-EN" will be held on December 27th and 28th, 2026 at Sky Theater MBS (Kita-ku, Osaka), and on January Getsuku and 10th, 2027 at Nissho Hall (Minato-ku, Tokyo).
