The voice actors for the second-year characters appearing in the second season of the TV anime "Ao no Orchestra," based on a coming-of-age manga set in a high school orchestra club, have been announced, with Hiroshi Kamiya, Kaneko Makoto playing the horn Tsutsui Toshiki, and Saeki Iori playing the trumpeter Togane Rika. In addition to the main character Aono Hajime, a promotional video has also been released featuring the new second-year students who will play a central role in the story.
Kamiya commented, "High school students take on a perfectly perfected tradition as high school students, and are honed in the gap between the individual and the group... Watching these guys, who are bursting with ambition, makes you want to straighten up. Meanwhile, the director directed Sakuma, whom I voice, to be 'a naturally mean person!' While taking into consideration why he has that kind of personality... I created a voice that would make him seem as charming as possible. I hope you will spend a special time with them in the anime that seems long but is actually only a fleeting moment!"
Kaneko said, "To be honest, I was a bit nervous about joining in from Season 2, but I was surrounded by very kind members of the orchestra club and teachers... and they encouraged me in many ways, so I was able to enjoy the recording despite the tension. I hope you will watch this beautiful Ensemble drama woven together by a cast of unique characters and see his aspirations and resolve as the next club president."
Saeki commented, "Togane-san has a straightforward and friendly personality, and this is the most important thing, but she's also very beautiful! I'm very honored to be able to play such a beautiful Togane-san! The second-year section leaders, including Togane-san, have also joined the ranks of the first-year members. "Ao no Orchestra" is a manga by Makoto Akui that has been serialized since 2017 on Shogakukan's manga site "Ura Sunday" and manga app "Manga One." Set in a powerful high school orchestra club, the story depicts the members' friendly competition. Aono Hajime, a genius boy who stopped playing the violin for a certain reason, begins playing the violin again after meeting a girl. The first season of the TV anime aired from April to October 2023. The second season will air on NHK Educational TV every Sunday at 5:00 PM starting October 5th.
