To celebrate the release of the sequel series of the anime "Dorohedoro," based on the manga by Q Hayashida, this spring, it has been announced that a screening of Season 1 of the TV anime, "Celebrating the Sequel Release! Dorohedoro "Living Dead Day Arc" Screening," will be held at TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo) on February 8th. Episodes 1 to 4 will be screened, including the highly popular "Living Dead Day" episode from Season 1. There will also be a talk show featuring Wataru Takagi, who plays Kaiman, Kondo Reina, who plays Nikaido, Yoshimasa Hosoya, who plays Kokoro, and Kobayashi Yu, who plays Noi.
As a special gift for visitors, they will receive a "KILL! ZOMBIE 2001" T-shirt, a replica of the T-shirt that was hanging in the prize exchange booth during the "Living Dead Day" event.
"Dorohedoro" is a dark fantasy that follows a man who loses his memory after his head is transformed into a lizard by magic, and who tries to regain his true identity and memories. It was serialized in manga magazines such as "IKKI," "HiBANA," and "Gessan" (Shogakukan) from 2000 to 2018. Season 1 of the TV anime aired from January to March 2020. A sequel series will be released this spring. Like Season 1, the sequel will be directed by Yuichiro Hayashi and produced by MAPPA.
