It was revealed on September 12th that Naniwa Danshi's Sho Yonashiro will be appearing in the film "Romantic Killer" (directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa, set to be released on December 12th), which stars a quartet of actors: actress Kyohei Takahashi, Kyohei Takahashi from Naniwa Danshi, Masaya Kimura from INI, and Sota Nakajima from FANTASTICS. He will play a "mysterious soldier."
"Romantic Killer" was released on LINE Manga Indies in 2018 and won a silver prize at the 1st LINE Manga Awards. It was then serialized on Shueisha's manga app Jump+ from 2019 to 2020, and is based on a manga by Wataru Momoyo, which won the grand prize at the 2nd Jump Vertical Scrolling Manga Awards. The series has become so popular that an anime adaptation will be released on Netflix in 2022.
A wizard who feeds on human romantic energy sets one romantic trap after another for Kyoko Hoshino, a high school girl who absolutely doesn't want to fall in love, and the heroine keeps blowing away the heart-pounding plot twists that are sure to make her fall in love... This romantic comedy follows Kyoko Hoshino, played by Kamishiraishi, and the three boys who quickly become close to Kyoko are Takahashi as the cool, somewhat shady transfer student Tsukasa Kazuki, Kimura as the ace baseball team member and her naive childhood friend Junta Hayami, and Nakajima as the overly condescending prince of a certain country, Hijiri Koganei.
Yonashiro, who was recently announced as a new cast member, will be in a relationship with Kimura, who stars in Quattro, as the leader of a group of brothers. Yonashiro plays the role of a mysterious soldier, one of the "romantics who pounce" on Kyoko, and gives a passionate performance in camouflage uniform. Despite the story unfolding in high school life, Yonashiro's scenes were filmed in the forest for some reason... What's more, he doesn't speak any Japanese, and the promotional video for the mysterious soldier version, packed with intriguing scenes, has been released.
It was also announced that starting with this, information about the film will be released every Friday for four consecutive weeks.
