A new illustration (Seven Sages Ver.) of Monica Everett, the main character of the TV anime "Silent Witch," which is based on the light novel by Iku Matsuri, who is popular on the novel posting site "Shosetsuka ni Naro," has been released.
The official website is running a special "Walpurgis Night" event called "Emergency Mission - Dragon Plague! Protect the Kelbeck Earldom!!". The event aims to reach 50,000 taps on a button on the special page, and to commemorate the completion of the mission, a new illustration of Monica Everett has been released. The illustration shows Monica wearing the robes and staff of one of the Seven Sages, the pinnacle of magicians in the Kingdom of Ridil, and features a striking, dignified expression.
The official website, X, also released an extra edition reporting that the Silent Witch had defeated the black dragon. Published by the Liandel Times, a major newspaper in the Kingdom of Ridir, it details the dragon damage that occurred in the Kelbeck Earldom. The extra edition and an "extra edition-style card" featuring a new illustration of Monica will be distributed in front of the AKIHABARA Gamers main store (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) from 1:00 pm on May 6th.
The work is a light novel written by Matsuri Iku and illustrated by Nanna Fujimi. Set in a world where humanity has lost the ability to use magic due to the chanting of incantations, it depicts the exploits of Monica Everett, the "Silent Witch," a young genius magician who created the first chantless magic in history. Although Monica is one of the Seven Sages, the pinnacle of magicians in the Kingdom of Ridil, she is extremely shy and nervous around people, and retreats to the mountains to quietly study magic, but is ordered to infiltrate a prestigious school where aristocrats gather and take on a top-secret mission to protect the second prince.
The light novel is published by Kadokawa Books (KADOKAWA), and the comic book adaptation is also gaining popularity. The total number of copies of the series has exceeded 750,000. Saya Aizawa will play Monica in the anime. It will start airing in July.
