The final episode of the TBS Tuesday drama "Jaa, Anta ga Tsukutte Miro yo It" (Tuesdays at 10pm), co-starring Kaho and Takeuchi Ryoma, aired on Getsuku. Viewers had mixed feelings about the ending, in which Ebiwara Katsuo (Takeuchi) and Yamagishi Ayumi (Kaho) agreed to each other.

Katsuo told his ex-girlfriend Ayumi, "Let's start again. Just us. I think we can work it out now." Ayumi replied, "Yes," and the two decided to start over.
Ayumi, who has begun to take steps to start her own store, is at Katsuo's house calculating the initial costs and expenses. Katsuo wants to help Ayumi and offers, "Shall I do this?" Ayumi declines, saying she will do it herself, but Katsuo tries to move the conversation forward. Ayumi interrupts in a strong tone, saying, "I want to do this myself," and goes home.
The two had a heart-to-heart talk later. Ayumi, who is struggling alone to open her own shop, said that while it would be easier if she could just follow someone without thinking about anything, "I want to be someone who can stand beside someone, not behind them. So now I want to face myself properly and be able to stand on my own two feet, and then I want to open my own shop. I want to do what I can do because I am who I am now."
Katsuo told Ayumi that he wanted to help her, but sympathized with her, saying, "When Ayumi was trying to stand on her own, the words 'support' were the wrong thing to say. I was unconsciously forcing my support on her, and it was putting a lid on what she wanted to say and what she wanted to do."
Katsuo reflected that if Ayumi hadn't dumped him, he wouldn't have enjoyed cooking and wouldn't have eaten offal. "I guess I could have seen things that I wouldn't have been able to see if we were together," he said. Hearing Ayumi's words, "Yeah, that's right," Katsuo began to think about what happened after they broke up.
"...Okay. I've decided. Let's end it." Ayumi agreed to Katsuo's proposal, saying, "Let's end it."
On social media, comments were pouring in, such as, "I'm glad it had such an unexpected ending, it made me cry," "Oh my goodness! So that's how it ended! It would have been better if they had gone their separate ways," "It wasn't a typical ending, it was a good drama," "It was a good final episode. This ending was the ideal," "This is a happy ending in its own way. It was a really interesting drama," "It was the best of this season," and "It was a great drama. Without a doubt the best of this season!"
