The eighth episode of the drama series "Good Things and Bad Things" (NTV, Saturdays at 9 PM), starring actors Mamiya Shotaro and Araki Yuko, aired on December 6th. Towards the end of the episode, the existence of Seto Shion, also known as "Do-ko," a former classmate whom Takagi (Mamiya) and others had forgotten about, was revealed, sparking various speculations on social media about his relationship to the true culprit behind the series of crimes.

In episode 8, Takagi and his friends learn that "Doctor" Mori Tomoya holds a grudge against them, and so they go to rescue Hatachi (Mori Yusaku), who went to meet Mori alone. However, they are unable to catch Mori, and Hatachi's life is taken. Takagi and his friends believe that the video of everyone talking about their dreams must contain something that the culprit would not want others to see, but they do not know where the DVD is.
After parting ways with his friends, Takagi goes to the elementary school to pick up his daughter Kanon (Miyazaki Ririsa), and realizes from Kanon's words that her homeroom teacher is Mori (Furudate Yutaro). When Takagi finds out that Mori has the DVD, he tells Sonoko (Araki) and Koyama (Shintaro Morimoto) at Imakuni. Later, Mori comes to see Takagi. He criticizes Takagi and the others, refusing to listen to Takagi's words, "I'm trying to face things head on and live my life properly," and accuses them, saying, "You guys were the ones who killed him, weren't you? You guys started it, weren't you?" and "You only remember what's convenient for you, so how is that facing things head on? You don't even remember that you were bullying Do's kid anyway."
Kanon, who is trying to reconcile Takagi and Mori, believes that the DVD is the cause of their fight and tries to take it away while Mori is out at school. Takagi rushes to the school and talks with Mori alone. Mori reveals that he actually wanted to help Hatadachi, and that he couldn't delete the homepage he created even though he knew that bad things about "Do-ko" were being written on the message board, and gives Takagi the DVD. Then, when Takagi plays the DVD with Mori, Koyama, and others at Imakuni, he stands up in surprise to see a girl who introduces herself as "Seto Shion" on the DVD. When Sonoko asks, "Who is that?", Mori replies, "Do-ko." On the screen, the girl who calls herself Seto Shion says, "My dream is to become a pianist."
Once the existence of "Do's Child" was revealed, speculation heated up on social media about his relationship to the real culprit. Comments such as "The real culprit is someone related to Do's Child, right?" and "The theory is that Do's Child is no longer alive, and that his family took their own life and is now seeking revenge" were posted, as well as comments such as "It feels strange that King's wife's maiden name isn't mentioned. Could it be that her maiden name was Seto?", "King's surprise when he saw Seto Shion was strange for the only one...", "King's wife is the older sister of Seto Shion, the other Do's Child", and "King's wife is Seto Shion's older sister", raising suspicions that the culprit may be related to Takagi's wife, Kana (Tokunaga Eri).
